Green Cards, CSCS Cards...Funding For ONSITE

 

Since October 2015  there has been HUGE changes in the Construction Industry. All white cards will be made obsolete. All trades who do not have skilled worker cards will need a GREEN CSCS CARD which means that a LEVEL1 NVQ  in Construction Environment and Touch Screen Health and Safety Test has to be completed by all workers this could effect.

You will HAVE to complete a  lLEVEL1 NVQ in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment and also pass a touch screen Health and Safety online test. Only then can you apply for a green card. FREE FOR ALL TRADES

 

  • For Skilled Workers, Blue, Gold and Black Cards can be renewed for free.

  • The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (MHOR) require employers to manage the risks to their employee’s. FREE

  • Control of Asbestos Regulations 6/2/2012 - This should be renewed yearly - not mandatory but good practice for all companies. FREE

Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment

​

This qualification is for people who currently work, or want to work in construction. Who needs this qualification? Anyone wishing to apply for the Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Green Card to work on a UK construction site. Why is this qualification important? Construction is one of the most dangerous workplace activities. Last year, in the UK, 42 of the 133 workplace fatalities occurred in construction.

Qualification content:

• The importance, key terms, legal responsibilities and reasons for good health and safety • Fatalities, injuries and ill-health in construction • Risk assessments and method statements • Slips and trips • Working at height • Moving vehicles and mobile plant • Work equipment • Fire • Electricity • Manual handling • Noise • Vibration • Hazardous substances • Alcohol and drugs • Health and safety signs • Personal protective equipment • Welfare facilities and personal hygiene • Emergencies and first aid • Reporting accidents and ill health.

Assessment:

• 40 multiple choice questions (60 minutes) • Pass mark 26 out of 40.

How it works:

• Centres are provided with learning materials • Centres deliver the learning (recommended 6-40 hours depending on learners) • Centres order the examination for a date and time of their choosing • Examinations are available online or paper-based • Results of online examinations issued immediately • Results of paper-based examinations issued within two working days • Certificates issued within two working days.
